Task 48: EDITING Day 2

Today, we carried on editing our title sequence. After filming on monday, we added that footage to our video drive and into our sequence.

We reflected upon our rough cut and decided that we need to re-film some close ups and re-edit the murder scene as the story does not flow consistently.

Demonstrated in this screen shot, we were replacing our old, blurry footage with the footage that we filmed on monday.

We feel that this shot was a drastic improvement from the previous lip stick applying scene as it is more in focus.
We also started to use after effects to try out various filters and effects to fit our genre conventions and to add suspense and dramatic elements to our title sequence.

As well as editing, we were planning our soundscape. We visited purpleplanet.com to find royalty free music that we would be able to use in our title sequence when the vinyl player is turned on and for the murder scene. We had to find music that fit the pace of the scenes but also added tension. We found a few options that we will decide on later.

We also planned any foley sounds that we would need to record to develop our soundscape.
