Task 30: Mise-En-Scene ideas and analysis

Task 1: Memorable characters. 

Billy Loomis, 'ghost face' from the movie scream. The costume is very effective because it  shows the specific sub-genre of the film, (teen-slasher). The cheap looking, yet memorable costume suggest that the film isnt ment to be taken serious.

Freddy Krueger, from the film "The Nightmare On Elm Street". This character requires a lot of makeup and special effects. The clothing is modern(at the time) and casual, almost like a middle aged white dad aesthetic. The special effects help indicate that this is not a human killer. 

The Leprechaun, from Leprechaun. Origionally leprechauns are seen as good creatures, but the extreme uses of makeup and special effects, illustrates that this character is the villain. Eg., the pointy teeth and constant frowning.
