7. What does this information about genre tell us about film production and audiences.
- This information tells me that the more films that are produced, the larger the audience and the more successful the film will be (Comedy realeases: 153, gross box office 158.2 million)

Audience:

- 15-24 year olds

- The Hangover Part III

3. Which film was most popular with the over 50s? What genre was this?

- Quartet - Comedy/Drama

4. Which genres were most popular with men?

6. Which films appealed most to which audience type?
- 'Captain Phillips' most appealed to the male genre whilst 'One Direction: This Is Us' most appealed to the female gender

7. Which 3 films were most popular with the 7-14 age group? What does this tell us about their preferred genre?
- One Direction: This Is Us, Wreck-it Ralph and Despicable Me 2 were the most popular with the 7-14 age group. This tells us that their age mainly prefer movies about their favourite boy bands as well as animated movies over other types of films

8. 3 films most popular with the 35-44 age group were Frozen, The Croods and Jack the Giant Slayer. Why might this be and how does this contribute to animation being the most successful genre at the box office?
- This might be because this age group usually have children (most likely in the age 7-14) and they would go to the cinema with them and pay for tickets for their children and themselves

- Django Unchained, Fast & Furious 6 and Rush

11. Look at the tables for popular films in London and Scotland. What differences are there and what conclusions can you make about the types of films they appear to prefer?
- London's 3 most popular films were Django Unchained, Fast & Furious 6 and Gravity, whereas Scotland's most popular were Sunshine on Leath, Filth and Star Trek Into Darkness. This tells us that London audiences have a larger preference in movies whilst Scottish audiences prefer films based around and about their area and characters like them.

- One of the any things I found doing this research was that the white population make up 90.6% of cinema goers whilst Black, Asian, Chinese, mixed and others make up 9.4%. As well as this I also found the disabled make up 11.3% of cinema goers whilst those non disabled make up 88.7%.
