Task 46: FILMING - Day 3

EDITING

In today's lesson, we have decided to begin editing our existing footage of Camden from day 1. This is because we are going to the murder scene after film after college today. We could not do it during the lesson because "The Victim" is unavailable. We also feel it would be better to shoot this scene when it is darker outside as it adds to the creepiness.

Today, we have added the clips that we want to use to premiere pro, and have started putting them in order. We have also separated the clips that we will be incorporating into our title sequence under the folder "using" so we can be more organised when editing.

LOCATION UPDATE

Our chosen location (Napier Court car park) has become unavailable to us as it has now been locked from the public by the council.

Instead we are going to use the location shown in the image of our actor above, Elia Street. This is very close to the college so it will be easy to get to. As shown in the image to the right, it should only take 4 minutes. It still has an ominous feeling and dull lighting so we feel it will still be an effective location to shoot at.

FILMING

After college, we went to shoot the murder scene on Elia Street. We managed to get all of the shots that we needed.

As the location changed, we could not get the exact same shots as shown in the story board as there was less space than the car park and it was laid out differently. Despite this, I believe that the changed shots are still effective and will be useful in our title sequence.

One issue that we had was forgetting our memory cards. Luckily, Elia Street was not far from college, so Rhianna could go back and get them very quickly.

As our location was not a public place, we could film without any disturbances. We also felt that it was quite eerie down there which was good because it fit with the genre of our title sequence well.

As we were filming, we made sure to stay updated on our twitter page and check in to our location as you can see at the bottom of this tweet.
