PART TWO
I have created a survey using Survey Monkey and posted it on social media to research target audiences.

My findings:
Everyone who answered my survey questions were in the 15-24 age range, therefore I know that these results cannot be applied to everyone.
From analysing the results, I can see that the most popular film genres within the 15-24 age range are horror and musical.These two genres contrast each other greatly which tells us that preferences within this group of people can vary greatly. However, by looking at individual responses, I can see that the majority people who picked horror were male, and the majority who picked musical were female. Therefore I now know that if I pick horror as the genre for my title sequence, I will have to keep in mind a target audience of 15-24 year old males. Reasons for choosing horror included:
"I like being scared"
"I enjoy watching films that truly scare me"
"I love how the tension can scare me so much, and the gore on screen"
I also found out that most people prefer to watch films from America (Hollywood). This tells us that 15-24 year olds like to watch big, blockbuster movies, not independent ones.
